《相信我》讲述了英国历史上最臭名昭著的性侵犯者之一约翰·沃博伊斯的三个受害者的故事。沃博伊斯被媒体称为“黑出租车强奸犯”，他以“体面”的持证出租车司机为掩护，对女性进行性侵犯。这部剧集聚焦于两名曾报案称遭到沃博伊斯性侵犯的女性的遭遇，以及伦敦警察厅如何应对此案。
